Empowering people to live happier lives.
Neurocapabilities helps empower people to live happier lives by identifying and developing their unique capabilities.
Whether you are an individual or an organisation looking for support, Neurocapabilities offers a range of human-centred services and solutions to help.
As an occupational psychologist with experience across corporate, clinical, and educational settings, I provide organisations with assessment and development services to help you recruit, select, develop and retain your people.
I also provide neurodiversity related support including adult screening and diagnostic assessments, workplace needs assessments, guidance for neurodivergent conditions and specific learning difficulties (SpLD) and coaching for neurodivergent employees.
For individual clients, I offer screening and diagnostic assessment for neurodivergent conditions and tailored coaching programmes to help both neurodivergent and neurotypical people achieve their aspirations.
Support for Organisations
Encouraging and supporting people to identify and develop their unique talents is key to achieving individual and collective success. Leaders and managers need the right skills and behaviours to help people reach their potential. They can do this by providing the right environment to work in and demonstrating empowering and inspiring leadership.
I can help your organisation achieve results through:
-
coaching for performance, development, or wellbeing;
-
talent assessment, selection, or profiling interventions to help you identify, hire or promote people with the right skills and capabilities required to succeed;
-
identifying future talent with high potential;
-
development centre design and delivery for in-depth staff development;
-
team development interventions;
-
screening and diagnostic assessments for neurodivergence to support staff wellbeing, development and performance;
-
workplace needs assessments.
Support for Individuals
If you consider yourself neurodivergent or have traits associated with neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia (DCD) or dyscalculia, working with an occupational psychologist can help you gain insight and clarity about your strengths and the challenges you face plus support you in developing personal strategies to help move towards your goals. I can support with:
-
screening and diagnostic assessment to identify and confirm neurodivergence where relevant;
-
tailored personal coaching;
-
a workplace needs assessment to identify potential adjustments your employer can make to help you be more effective in your workplace;
-
providing advice on how you can study more effectively and the support your education provider could provide;
-
helping you understand why you experience certain difficulties and supporting you to develop the tools and confidence to manage them.
What is 'neurodiversity'?
Neurodiversity describes the concept that people’s minds and bodies work in different ways. Each of us is unique in how we think, feel, behave and experience the world around us. We all find some things easier and enjoyable and other things can be challenging. Each of us has unique capabilities.
‘Neurotypical’ refers to those people who have smaller differences between their strengths and the things they find challenging. ‘Neurodivergent’ refers to people who have larger variations between the two, which means they can often have strong talents in some areas but at the same time may find some things very difficult because they have weaknesses in other areas (often called a 'spiky profile'). Some difficulties are visible and others may be hidden. Neurodivergent conditions are often referred to as hidden disabilities.
Neurodivergent conditions include autism spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, dyspraxia (DCD), dyscalculia and other neurological conditions.
